
Valuing Adventure
During the course of my Corporate career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a Career Coach who had me do a values definition exercise (as most good coaches do!), where I identified “Adventure” as one of my core values.

Last month’s message was “Don’t Wait” – essentially, reminding you that there’s no better time than today to go for what you want. But I wonder how many of you took my words to heart and jumped feet first into that thing you’ve been putting off.
Can you believe it’s mid-March already?!?! Time flies by, but I find the first 3 months of the year always seem to go much more quickly than the rest of the year – and it doesn’t help when February is short a few days!
Remember when we were young and the passage of time seemed to creep by at a snail’s pace? And then almost overnight, it sped up to the point where pages were flying off the calendar?
I went out on my balcony hoping to see the full moon coming up over the rooftops of my neighborhood. Unfortunately, I’d long missed the moonrise, but could see the brightness of it in the clouds. In the distance, I saw a sheet of rain coming down over the city and was excited to watch the storm develop.
Have you ever thought about what it means to “age gracefully”? Is it a state of mind? A state of being? A hope or wish for an easy and smooth transition to our elder years? I’m at a point in my life where most of the elders in my family have passed on, except for my amazing 92-year-old aunt.
